Corps of Engineers
Day Use Fees and Annual Day Use Passes

Holders of the national passes "Golden Age Passport" or "Golden Access Passport" or the newer America the Beautiful - National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass Program's "Senior Pass" or "Access Pass" receive 50% discounts on day use fees.

Day Use Fees

The Corps of Engineers was given the authority by the Congress to collect day use fees as part of deficit reduction legislation the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1993. The funds generated from these fees are used by the Congress to help offset operation and maintenance costs of the Corps' recreation program.

  • A fee of $1 per person, but not more than $4 per vehicle, is charged at developed swimming beaches.
  • A fee of $3 is charged pre vehicle at selected boat launching ramps that have amenities.
  • The maximum day use fee to any one vehicle is $4 per day.
  • There are no day use fees for children under 12. Campers do not pay day use fees because those costs are already included in camping fees.

Annual Day Uses Pass

Annual passes may be purchased which permit the vehicle and accompanying passengers to use all boat launching ramps and swimming beaches at Corps-operated recreation areas without further charges.  This is a nation-wide program.

  • Passes must be visibly displayed on the rear view mirror.  Rangers will ticket if it is not visible.
  • Replacements are not available.

Where To Receive One In Person. The annual Day Use Pass can be obtained at the Corps lake offices and many of the lake recreation areas. (See contact list for Corps offices.) They are also available at the Tulsa District headquarters building in Tulsa. People seeking a federal discount through their Golden Age or Golden Access, or the newer America the Beautiful - National Parks and Federal Recreational Lands Pass Program's "Senior Pass" or "Access Pass", must purchase the pass in person.

By Mail. If you wish to receive a full-price Day Use Pass by the mail, send $30 and your name and return address to the Corps office in Tulsa:
