Tulsa District manages one of the most complex reservoir systems in the United States. To
effectively manage such a reservoir system, the district has developed a highly sophisticated Water Control
Data System (WCDS). This system is comprised of processes that the district has developed to acquire, manage, and disseminate real time water control data. Tulsa District's WCDS has been recognized as outstanding, both within the Corps of Engineers and by other agencies.
The WCDS was developed and is maintained by people who work directly with reservoir management personnel and other operational elements within the Corps on a daily basis. As such, a vested interest is placed in the WCDS's on-going successful operation.
