Jake Ellison is a Natural Resource Specialist at the Lake Eufaula Project Office. He joined the Corps of Engineers through the Student Career Education Program five years ago.

Jake Ellison is a Natural Resource Specialist at the Lake Eufaula Project Office. Jake grew up in Broken Bow, Oklahoma and graduated from Broken Bow High School in 2007. He attended Carl Albert State College and graduated in 2009 with an Associate of Science in Biology and Zoology. Jake began working for the Corps of Engineers through the Student Career Education Program in 2009 and graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2011. He is married to Madison Ellison. The couple has one child, Gatlin Kole Ellison.

Where did you work and what did you do before you came to work for the Tulsa District? I was a full time college student prior to coming to the Tulsa district. I worked for the Corps via the Student Career Education Program my final two years of college.

What do you like most about your job? I like having the ability to perform many different tasks in any given week. I also enjoy the times I get to spend working in the outdoors protecting and improving the projects natural resources.

What is the most challenging aspect of your work? The complexity of a project this size and this diverse keeps you on your toes. I learn something new every day it seems.

What do you like most about the Tulsa District? What I like most about the Tulsa District is the continuity of my fellow natural resources personnel.
