TULSA — The Tulsa District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announced today a list of temporary recreation closures due to high water from recent rain events in the district. This list will be updated as needed. Visitors should note that this is a dynamic situation and this information could change within a few hours depending upon rainfall. It is best to call the lake office to check on campsite and boat ramp availability or go to Recreation.gov before going to the lake.

Here is a list of current temporary closures:

KANSAS

Council Grove Lake:

Canning Creek Cove Campground - 80 percent open. Boat ramp is closed.

Kit Carson Campground - Completely closed with gate shut.

Marina Cove Campground: All Sites are open.

Richey Cove Campground - 40 percent closed. The boat ramp and group campground are closed.

Santa Fe Trail Campground - 80 percent of sites open.

Elk City Lake:

Card Creek Campground: 60 percent closed. Boat ramp is closed. First come, first-served. Limited water and electric available.

Fall River Lake:

North Rock Ridge - Completely closed. Boat ramp is closed.

John Redmond Reservoir:

Damsite South Campground - 50 percent closed. Boat ramps are closed.

Hartrford, Kansas boat ramp is closed.

Otter Creek ATV Area is closed.

OKLAHOMA AND TEXAS

Copan Lake:

Washington Cove – 7 campsites closed.

Eufaula Lake:

Oak Ridge – 25 percent of campsites are available.

Elm Point – Completely closed with gates shut.

Gentry Creek – Completely closed with gates shut.

Brooken Cove – Completely closed with gates shut.

Porum Landing – 80 percent of campsites are closed.

Ladybird Landing – 50 percent of campsites open.

Highway 9 East – Completely closed.

Highway 9 South – Completely closed with gates shut.

Highway 9 North – 50 percent of campsites open.

Belle Starr – 50 percent of campsites open.

Note: Flood conditions cause all boat ramps to be significantly less safe for launching. Not all are blockaded (many are and are not available for use), and are available for emergency launching if necessary. All amenities are being impacted by flooding including playgrounds, pavilions, bathrooms & some electrical.

Fort Gibson:

Flat Rock - Completely closed. Gates are shut.

Bluebill - Completely closed. Gates are shut.

Rocky Point - 50 percent are not affected by flooding.

Taylor Ferry South - 50 percent are not affected by flooding.

Wildwood - Completely closed. Gates are shut.

Jackson Bay - Completely closed with gates shut.

Wahoo Bay - Completely closed with gates shut.

Taylor Ferry Beach - Completely closed with gates shut.

Taylor Ferry North - Completely closed with gates shut.

Damsite North - Completely closed with gates shut.

Toppers - Completely closed.

Damsite South - All campsites are open.

Heyburn:

Sheppard Point: 95 percent campsites open. Equestrian trails 100 percent open. Other day use 40 percent open.

Sunset Bay: 90 percent campsites open. 90 percent day use open.

Heyburn Park: 100 percent campsites open. 60 percent day use open.

Hugo:

All parks - All parks are closed on Hugo Lake due to flooding.

All boat ramps - All boat ramps are closed.

Kaw Lake:

Coon Creek - 90 percent of sites are open. Boat ramp is closed

Washunga - 85 percent of sites are open.

Sandy Swim Beach - Closed. Gates are shut.

Osage Low Water Boat Ramp - Closed.

Keystone:

Washington Irving: 100 percent of campsites are open. Swim beach/day use approximately 30 percent closed.

Appalachia Bay: 100 percent of campsites are open. (if the lake level climbs another foot over the next couple of days, it will change to 70 percent closed). Swim beach/day use approximately 30 percent closed.

Brush Creek: 100 percent open, fishing is great because of downstream releases.

Cowskin Bay South: 70 percent open.
Keystone Ramp: 60 percent open.

Oologah:

Blue Creek Area - 90 percent of campsites are open. Boat Launching Ramp is closed. Horse camping area closed.

Hawthorn Bluff Area - Both A and B Loop fishing docks are closed. Courtesy dock at boat ramp is closed. Swim beach is closed.

Dock at Hawthorn Beach Boat launching Ramp is closed, Swim Beach closed.

Spencer Creek Area - 90 percent of campsites are open. Swim Beach is closed.

Redbud Area - Courtesy dock is closed at the boat launching ramp, Low road at Redbud Marina is closed.

Sunnyside - Boat ramp is closed.

Big Creek - County road access is closed.

Clermont - Day use area is closed. Boat ramp is closed.

Double Creek - Boat ramp is closed.

Pat Mayse:

Sanders Cove - Six campsites closed.

Pat Mayse West - Twenty-one campsites closed.

Pine Creek:

All parks - All parks and boat ramps on Pine Creek Lake are currently closed due to flooding.

Sardis Lake:

Potato Hills Central - 36 percent of campsites are closed. Four camping loops are barricaded.

Potato Hills South - Completely closed.

Potato Hills North (Buffalo Creek) - Completely closed with gates shut.

Sardis Cove - 93 percent of campsites are closed. The boat ramp is closed.

The Narrows - The boat ramp is closed.

Tenkiller:

Elk Creek – Roadway in vault toilet area is closed. One boat ramp closed.

Pettit I – One campsite and several access roads are closed. One boat ramp closed.

Cookson Bend – Swimming beach is closed and several access roads & parking areas are closed. One boat ramp closed.

Chicken Creek – One road and one boat ramp are closed.

Snake Creek – 80 percent of campsites are open. 10 campsites are open but have no electrical service available. Two boat ramps closed. Dumpstation and Waterborne Restroom are closed.

Strayhorn Landing – One boat ramp closed.

Texoma Lake:

The following parks are CLOSED as of May 18, 2015:

Lakeside

Caney Creek

Juniper East

Spillway Boat Ramp and Toilet

The following parks are PARTIALLY OPEN as of May 18, 2015:

Platter Flats: 30 percent open. Existing reservations honored on open sites. First come first served on available sites.
