Cory West is a mechanic at the Eufaula Dam Powerhouse. Cory grew up in Keota, Oklahoma and graduated from Keota High School in 2001. He holds an Associate of Applied Science in Distinctive Manufacturing from the Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology at Okmulgee. Cory and his wife, Krystal, have three children, Cole, Kalib and Carson.

How long have you been in your current job (years)?

I have spent five years in my current job.

How long have you been at the Tulsa District?

I have worked in the Tulsa District for eight years.

Where did you work and what did you do before you came to work for the Tulsa District?

Before coming to work for the Corps of Engineers, I worked on a natural gas rig for five years drilling for natural gas.

What do you like most about your job?

I like that I'm able to work in a controlled environment.

What is the most challenging aspect of your work?

The most challenging part of my work is dealing with people.

What do you like most about the Tulsa District?

The Tulsa District is home for me. That's what I like most about it.
