TD 2019-18.1 Webbers Pool Reduction Admendment

REDUCTION IN POOL ELEVATION: AMENDMENT 1

WEBBERS FALLS L&D No. 16

McCLELLAN-KERR ARKANSAS RIVER NAVIGATION SYSTEM, OKLAHOMA

In support of the ongoing salvage operations, Webbers Falls L&D No. 16 has begun a reduction of pool elevation.  The pool will be lowered to elevation of 487 on or before Monday 19 August 2019.  Beginning Monday 19 August, the pool will be reduced to elevation 480 as soon as Wednesday 21 August 2019.  If the Contractor is unsuccessful in clearing the sunken barges and obstructions at elevation 480 a further reduction in the pool elevation will be required.  Duration of the draw down is unknown at this time.

The Corps of Engineers is continuing to collect data and this Navigation Notice will be amended as more information becomes available.
