NOTICE OF POTENTIAL DELAYS DURING DREDGING ACTIVITIES

WD MAYO L&D No. 14, NM 319.6

McCLELLAN-KERR ARKANSAS RIVER  NAVIGATION SYSTEM, OKLAHOMA

Mariners may expect delays at WD Mayo L&D No. 14 from 3 through 16 February 2021 due to dredging activities in the lock chamber and the downstream approach.

Mariners can expect delays of up to 8 hours 3 -10 February 2021 as the Corps of Engineers performs dredging in the lock chamber. 

A second contract Dredge will be working the lower approach 3 – 16 February 2021.  The Dredge will monitor radio channels 10 and 16.  Mariners should use caution when transiting this area and may expect additional delays due to these activities.

All work is expected to be completed as scheduled.  However, unforeseen issues could require additional time.  Waterway users are asked to check with Lock No. 14 or 16 for the latest information.  Questions or request for additional information concerning this notice should be directed to Mr. Robert Steiner; Navigation Operation Manager:  918-607-0952 or Mr. Vic Heister; Navigation Field Engineer:  918-669-7244.


Recreational Lockage Policy

Locking at 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18 on the Oklahoma portion of the McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System is available to recreational boaters 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
