Guidelines for Submission of Wetland Delineations and Determinations
Any wetland delineation performed by a consultant must be completed in accordance with the 1987 Corps of Engineers Wetland Delineation Manual and supplemental guidance. The following items should be included in any wetland delineation submitted to the Corps of Engineers for review and validation.
- Description of the location of the subject property
- Description of the environmental characteristics and setting of the subject property
- Description of construction or disturbance activities, if any, planned on the subject property
- The USGS 7.5 Minute Quadrangle map for the site clearly showing the boundary of the surveyed area
- The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service National Wetland Inventory Map for the site (if available)
- The Natural Resource Conservation Service Soil Survey of the property and identification of soils on the county hydric soils list as hydric or as containing hydric inclusions
- If agricultural land, a copy of the Natural Resource Conservation Service’s wetland inventory of the property
- Description of when the field delineation was accomplished
- Information on the sources of hydrology for the wetland(s)
- Photographs of the property, identified wetlands, and other “waters of the United States”.
- Map showing location of wetlands and other waters identified within the property
- A summary report of findings including acreage of wetlands and acreage or length/width of streams, creeks, and other waters of the United State present on the property
- Copies of the field data forms completed for the site
