Camping and Picnicking

Seven park areas located around the lake offer the public many opportunities for outdoor family fun and relaxation.  These recreation areas vary with the following amenities: campsites with electrical and water hook-ups, primitive campsites, picnic areas with charcoal grills, restrooms, boat launching ramps with courtesy docks, and more.

Boating

Boating on the lake is in accordance with state boating laws and Corps of Engineers regulations.

Sightseeing

Gentle rolling hills of Blackjack and Post Oak interspersed with Tallgrass Prairie surround beautiful Skiatook Lake.  The meandering shoreline is accentuated by steep picturesque bluffs which offer spectacular views for the recreation user.

Swimming

Two parks offer designated swimming areas for the visitor to use.  One is located at Tall Chief Cove and the other is in Twin Points.

Trails

Hikers will enjoy the trails that are set up around Skiatook Lake.  Two short trails for the beginner are located at the Lake Office and Osage Ramp area.  A challenging five mile trail extends from the spillway to the Cross Timbers Marina.
