Truscott Lake Recreation

Fishing, Hunting, and Wildlife Viewing

The project is located in an area of relative lowlands with broad and flat valleys. The lowlands are predominantly pasture with moderately heavy growths of cedar and mesquite.  Wildlife management plans are in place to enhance habitat for local species.

Some sport fishing is available in fresh water ponds located on the project.

Wildlife in the project area include white-tailed deer, bobwhite quail, mourning dove, cottontails. Migrations of waterfowl to the project continue to increase, and has provided a good opportunity for waterfowl hunters.
