Accessibility

Campsite C-11 at Buncombe Creek Park is designed and restricted for non-ambulatory campers only.  It is constructed adjacent to the accessible waterborne restroom with a concrete ramp leading from the campsite to the restroom facility.  The camping pad is concrete with ramps for wheelchair access to the campsite facilities.  The campsite table is wheelchair accessible.  A separate fishing area, for wheelchair access only, is located adjacent to the Texas Damsite fishing wall just below the dam powerhouse.  The fishing area is a concrete elevated area with a ramp that allows the fisherman to gain the needed height to fish over the wall.  A state-issued, free permit is required.  This area is well known for its striped bass.  With the exception of Catfish Bay Marina, which has two fishing docks specifically designed for accessiblity, most of the facilities within the concessions/marinas are considered accessible for persons with disabilities but are not specifically designed that way.
