Tenkiller Lake boat ramps closed due to low lake levels

Published Feb. 16, 2011

TULSA — Due to low lake levels, all but three boat ramps are closed at Tenkiller Lake.

The boat ramps still useable are Strayhorn Day Use Area, Sizemore II, and Chicken Creek South.

The lake level at Tenkiller Ferry Lake is approximately 8.7 feet below normal due to lack of rain. The current level of the lake is 623.24 feet above sea level and the normal conservation pool level is 632 feet above sea level.

Recreational users should be aware that low lake levels expose boating hazards that may have been submerged with normal water elevations and boaters are urged to use caution while boating and launching boats.
