Corps of Engineers schedules Eufaula Lake listening session

TULSA – Col. Mike Teague, Tulsa District commander, will host a commander’s listening session Tuesday, May 31 at 6 p.m at Lake Eufaula High School Auditorium located "1" Bell Anderson Drive.

Col. Mike Teague, Tulsa District commander, will host a commander’s listening session Tuesday, May 31 at 6 p.m at Lake Eufaula High School Auditorium located "1" Bell Anderson Drive.

The purpose of the session is for the district staff to share information with Eufaula area residents concerning the following topics:

  • The hydrology of Eufaula Lake including how the Corps manages the lake level, hydropower operations, minimum flow releases, water quality and evaporation.
  • Section 3134, Water Resource Development Act of 2007: Planned update to Eufaula Lake’s shoreline management plan and master plan to include an environmental impact statement for the Oklahoma Lakes Demonstration Project.
  • Section 3133 Water Resource Development Act of 2007: Lake Eufaula project goal, advisory committee, reallocation study, and pool management plan.

Following the presentation, there will be an open discussion. Corps representatives will listen to those in attendance, take questions, and provide answers either immediately or by follow-up.
