Tulsa District USACE Small Business Office hosting ‘Meet the Corps Day’

TULSA, Okla. — Learn more about doing business with the Tulsa District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) at “Meet the Corps Day” Feb, 12, from 10-4 p.m. at the Tulsa Technology Center, 10800 N. 140th E. Ave., Owasso, Okla. The event is open to large and small businesses.

Meet the Corps Day will include briefings from Tulsa District staff and opportunities to meet with government representatives and other businesses.

The Tulsa Post of the Society of American Military Engineers will also be facilitating networking at a post event icebreaker at Los Cabos Mexican Grill and Cantina in Owasso.

“This will be the district’s primary opportunity for Fiscal Year 2014 to expand our industrial base,” said Gene Snyman, Tulsa District Small Business Office Deputy. “We will be presenting details of upcoming requirements and our key staff will be on hand to answer questions. Additionally, many large businesses seeking teaming arrangements will be represented.”

The Tulsa District Small Business Office assists in developing small businesses and maximizes their opportunities for Corps procurements within the district footprint on a continual basis, thereby ensuring a broad base of capable small business firms to support our mission and strengthen our Nation's economic development.
