Informational update planned for John Redmond Reservoir

TULSA, Okla. — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers invites the public to an informational update for John Redmond Reservoir from 7:00-8:00 p.m. April 3 at the Hartford, Kansas Community Building, 117 Commercial St.

Representatives from the Corps will provide an overview of the status of ongoing projects and issues at the reservoir.

The Kansas Department of Wildlife, Parks and Tourism, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and the Kansas Water Office have been invited to have a representative at the meeting.

Topics will include:

·       Proposed dredging at the reservoir

·       An explanation of reallocation

·       Recreation

·       An update on the refuge area

·       Wildlife management areas

·       Public access

·       Boat ramp access

There will be time for questions from the public following the presentations.
