TULSA — The Tulsa District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers awarded a contract to repair a fabrication shop at Tinker AFB, Sept. 30.
Red Cedar Enterprises, Inc. of Miami, Oklahoma was awarded the $3.3 million contract.
The notice to proceed on repair activities will be issued following receipt and approval of performance and payment bonds and upon the request of the Tulsa District’s Tinker AFB field office.
Tinker Air Force Base is home to the Oklahoma City Air Logistics Complex, one of the largest units in the Air Force Materiel Command. The complex performs programmed depot maintenance on the C/KC-135, B-1B, B-52 and E-3 aircraft, as well as expanded phase maintenance on U.S. Navy E-6 aircraft. The complex also performs maintenance, repair and overhaul of numerous aircraft engines for the Air Force, Air Force Reserve, Air National Guard and U.S. Navy.
