Col. Michael Teague, Tulsa District commander, spoke to the Broken Arrow Rotary Club about Veterans Day, among other topics, during their Nov. 6 meeting.
Teague told the Rotarians about his experience growing up in a military family during the Vietnam War era and he compared it to how Soldiers are treated in today’s society. He talked about the Army Corps of Engineers missions including the Hurricane Sandy response efforts, and he answered questions from the audience. He also expressed his thank you to the community for the support given to Soldiers.
“Often times on Veterans Day members of the community approach Soldiers to thank us for serving,” he said. “I wanted to use this opportunity to thank each one of you for the support you give us.”
