Bucky Barnes is one of two maintenance workers who ensure the safe and effective operation of facilities at Corps owned recreation areas and campsites.

Bucky Barnes is one of two maintenance workers at the Tenkiller Ferry Lake Project Office who ensure the facilities at Corps owned campsites and recreation areas operate safely and efficiently. Barnes grew up in Gore, Oklahoma and attended Gore High School. Bucky and his wife, Sharlene, have two children, LeeAnna and Blane.

How long have you been in your current job?

I’ve worked at the Tenkiller project office for four years.        

Where did you work and what did you do before you came to work for the Tulsa District?

Before I came to work here I was a machine tender for Georgia Pacific in Muskogee.

What do you like most about your job? 

I like being able to work in the area where I grew up, and being around good people.

What do you like most about the Tulsa District?

I like the fact that we have good people who are helpful working here at the Tenkiller Lake Office.
