    JROTC Cadets from Will Rogers College High School get a firsthand look at Keystone Dam’s infrastructure and powerhouse to see how electricity is generated that powers their electronic games. The high school students spent several hours being introduced by Tulsa District engineers to real life engineering put to work as part of the District’s STEM program.

    Tulsa District hosted a group of seven Junior Reserve Officer Training cadets from Will Rogers Collage High School for a tour of the Keystone Dam. The tour was part of the District’s STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) program to promote engineering as career.
  • USACE water safety booth staff interact with visitors at the Kansas State Fair. The booth won the “reserve grand champion” ribbon for the caliber of appearance of the booth and the staff, and the value it provides to fair visitors.

    Corps booth at Fair garners ‘reserve grand champion’ ribbon

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Water Safety Booth at the Kansas State Fair won a top honor here Thursday, Sep. 12, 2013. The indoor booth received the “reserve grand champion” ribbon for the caliber of appearance of the booth and the value it provides to fair visitors.

    U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Tulsa District Leadership Development II team members work to install a new park bench at Fort Gibson Lake April 18. The group was there as part of a field trip to learn about the Civil Works projects of the district.

    Future leaders tour Tulsa District project sites

    The 2013 Leadership Development Program Level II participants recently attained a unique look at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Tulsa District Civil Works Projects during a series of field trips April 16 – 18 throughout the district.
