TULSA, Okla. - In an effort to keep Lake Eufaula stakeholders up to date on lake conditions, the Tulsa District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, provides the following information:

Southwestern Power Administration (SWPA) estimates weekly generation for January 30-February 5, 2011 at 1,300 Mega Watt hours (2-3 hours per day with all three hydropower units) equivalent of 1,250 cubic feet per second (cfs) discharge on average.  Current evaporation is approximately 0.04 inches per day, or 50 cfs, and there is no water quality release.

Current pool elevation is 580.49 feet, 4.51 feet below top of the conservation pool elevation of 585. This level represents 71% of the conservation pool filled.

Current inflow into the lake is approximately 500 cubic feet per second and total outflow from the lake is approximately 5,400 cfs. Weekly forecast of the Lake Eufaula pool elevation is that it will slowly lower about 0.2 foot, absent significant precipitation during this period.
