Some campsites and recreation areas are temporarily closed due to high water. Information about closures is available at www.facebook.com/usacetulsa. Reservations information about our projects is available on the National Recreation Reservation Service site.
The Tulsa District USACE is responding to this severe weather event. Corps projects are performing as designed for flood risk reduction and the Corps is reaching out to partners and stands ready to offer additional support as needed.
During periods of heavy rain, the Corps will release water from reservoirs on an as-needed basis. Individuals located downstream from dams should get out of the water and move to a location safe from rising waters should they hear the dam's horn signaling an imminent release of water from the reservoirs.
