TULSA — The Tulsa District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers awarded a contract to begin renovation of the Security Forces Squadron building at Tinker Air Force base.
The contract was awarded to Red Cedar Enterprises, Inc., located in Miami, Oklahoma, for the amount of $823,362.00.
The notice to proceed will be issued following receipt and approval of performance and payment bonds and upon the request of the Tulsa District field office at Tinker AFB.
Tinker Air Force Base is home to the Oklahoma City Air Logistics Complex, one of the largest units in the Air Force Materiel Command. The complex performs programmed depot maintenance on the C/KC-135, B-1B, B-52 and E-3 aircraft, as well as expanded phase maintenance on U.S. Navy E-6 aircraft. The complex also performs maintenance, repair and overhaul of numerous aircraft engines for the Air Force, Air Force Reserve, Air National Guard and U.S. Navy.
