Corps of Engineers to host Industry Day, discuss $540 million in military construction contracts

TULSA — The Tulsa District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will hold an Industry Day at the Sheraton Hotel in Oklahoma City, Oct. 21 at 1 p.m., to discuss more than a half billion dollars in current and future military construction projects.

Representatives from the Corps of Engineers will brief attendees about the $540 million in military construction projects at Tinker AFB, of which nearly half are related to the Air Force’s KC-46A Pegasus tanker aircraft.

Small business construction firms are encouraged to attend.

The briefing takes place in the 19th and 20th Century ballrooms at the Sheraton Hotel located at 1 N Broadway Ave., in Oklahoma City.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers advertises contracts at www.fbo.gov.

Tinker AFB will serve as the maintenance depot for the KC-46A.

Tinker Air Force Base is home to the Oklahoma City Air Logistics Complex, one of the largest units in the Air Force Materiel Command. The complex performs programmed depot maintenance on the C/KC-135, B-1B, B-52 and E-3 aircraft, as well as expanded phase maintenance on U.S. Navy E-6 aircraft. The complex also performs maintenance, repair and overhaul of numerous aircraft engines for the Air Force, Air Force Reserve, Air National Guard and U.S. Navy.
