Lock Operations Suspended

Downstream Lock Approach: NM 319.5

 

McCLELLAN-KERR ARKANSAS RIVER NAVIGATION SYSTEM, OKLAHOMA

 

Lock Operations at W.D. Mayo L&D No. 14 are suspended from 0700 August 20 to 2400 August 23, 2019.  The Navigation Channel in the downstream approach has significant shoaling.  This closure will allow the dredge to clear the channel in the shortest amount of time. 

 

All work is expected to be completed as scheduled.  However, unforeseen issues could require additional time.  Waterway users are asked to check with Lock No. 14 for the latest information.  Questions or request for additional information concerning this notice should be directed to Mr. Robert Steiner; Navigation Operation Manager:  918-775-4475 ext 5833 or Mr. Vic Heister; Navigation Field Engineer:  918-669-7244.


Recreational Lockage Policy

Locking at 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18 on the Oklahoma portion of the McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System is available to recreational boaters 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
