SAILING INSTRUCTIONS: R.S. KERR POOL No. 15

NM 346.0 to 349.0; NM 355.0 to 356.0 and NM 366.0 to 366.3

McCLELLAN-KERR ARKANSAS RIVER NAVIGATION SYSTEM, OKLAHOMA

R.S. Kerr Pool No. 15 has significant shoaling between NM 346.0 to 349.0, NM 355.0 to 356.0 and NM 366.0 to 366.3.  These areas are not marked at this time, see below for sailing instructions. 

•             NM 345.9 to 346.7 – Run red line (half channel width);

•             NM 347.2 to 348.1 – Run green line (half channel width);

•             NM 348.1 to 348.9 – Entire width of channel is restricted by shoaling.  An alternate route has been identified outside the red line.  Mariners at their own risk may enter/exit alternate route on left descending bank at NM 348.1 and/ or 348.9.  Be aware of damaged day beacon just under the water surface ~300’ North of the channel red line at NM 348.9.

•             NM 355.0 to 356.0 – Mariners at their own risk may run outside of normal channel on green line. Entire width of channel is restricted by shoaling, adjustments to channel sailing lines are being made to shift channel over ~200’ plus.

•             NM 366.0 to 366.3 – Run green line upon entrance/ exit to Lock 16.  No up bound double lockage’s until further notice.
