NOTICE OF POTENTIAL DELAYS: REPAIRS TO UP STREAM PROTECTION CELL AND MAINTENANCE ACTIVITIES

W. D. MAYO L&D No. 14, NM 319.6

McCLELLAN-KERR ARKANSAS RIVER NAVIGATION SYSTEM, OKLAHOMA

                   

Mariners can expect delays at W.D. Mayo L&D No. 14, NM 319.6 from 0700 to 1730 on 30 September through 30 November 2021.  Maintenance crews will be performing repairs on the upstream Protection Cell #1 and inspections in the lock chamber.  Mariners can expect delays of up to 6 hours while inspections are ongoing.

Mariners must use extreme caution when transiting the upper approach.  Channel width will be restricted, and vessels must avoid contact with the cell and working craft in the area. 

All work is expected to be completed as scheduled.  However, unforeseen issues could require additional time.  Waterway users are asked to check with Lock No. 14 for the latest information and transiting instructions.  Questions or request for additional information concerning this notice should be directed to Mr. Robert Steiner; Navigation Operation Manager:  918-775-4475 ext 5833 or Mr. Jacob Simpson; Navigation Field Engineer:  918-669-7244.

Locking at 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18 on the Oklahoma portion of the McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System is available to recreational boaters 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
