NOTICE OF SMALL CRAFTS

USE CAUTION WHEN TRANSITING NM 436.6 to NM 444.8

The University of Tulsa rowing team is hosting a race on Friday, April 30th. The approximate location will be a 2000 meter race course marked between NM 441 (just below I-44 Bridge) and NM 444.2. The teams plan on being in the water as early as 0730 and the event is planned to be concluded by noon. Safety Launches will monitor channel 16 closely for barge traffic moving into the area and suspend racing anytime a tow is visible. All rowing crews will move to the shore and wait for the vessel to pass safely.

Mariners are advised to use extreme caution when transiting this area during the event dates listed below. Waterway users are asked to check with Newt Graham Lock and Dam 18 for the latest information concerning these events at 543-2216 ext 1.
