SAILING INSTRUCTIONS: R.S. KERR POOL No. 15

NM 346.0 to 349.0; NM 355.0 to 356.0 and NM 366.0 to 366.3

 

McCLELLAN-KERR ARKANSAS RIVER NAVIGATION SYSTEM, OKLAHOMA

 

R.S. Kerr Pool No. 15 has significant shoaling between NM 346.0 to 349.0, NM 355.0 to 356.0 and NM 366.0 to 366.3.  These areas have been marked with buoys, see below for sailing instructions. 

•     NM 345.9 to 346.7 – Run red line (half channel width);

•     NM 347.2 to 348.1 – Run green line (half channel width);

•     NM 348.1 to 348.9 – Dredging completed.  Alternate route abandoned.  Full normal channel width available.

 

•     NM 355.0 to 356.0 – Buoys have been set full channel width available between buoys. 

 

•     NM 366.0 to 366.3 – Run green line upon entrance/ exit to Lock 16.  No up bound double lockage’s until further notice.

Recreational Lockage Policy

Locking at 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18 on the Oklahoma portion of the McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System is available to recreational boaters 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.
