Verdigris River Park Closure
Tuesday, March 03, 2015
The Corps, Oologah Lake Office recently received funding to repair portions of the rip rap in the Verdigris River Outlet Channel below Oologah Dam. Consequently, while work is underway there will be no access to the boat ramp below the dam.  In addition, the entire area below the dam, also known as the Verdigris River Park will be temporarily closed during the construction process.  The closure began Monday March 2nd.  The work consists of the following: outlet channel rehabilitation, bank stabilization and some roadway improvements. The Corps is currently making good progress on this initiative while striving to accomplish the subject work with limited impact to the visiting public. Any additional temporary closures or change to the availability of services will continue to be communicated to the public throughout the process. If there are any questions or concerns please contact the Oologah Lake Office at 918-443-2250.
