  • Safety First: The bridge was closed on November 7, 2025 after field conditions showed more severe bearing deterioration than anticipated. Closure prevented potential structural damage and public safety risk.
  • Funding Gap: Current project funding is $741,700, but contractor ROM is $1.5 million – $2.0 million. We recommend securing the full $2M from a donor project to ensure a complete, permanent repair instead of an incremental fix.
  • Execution Plan: Reviews (DQC, ATR, BCOES) are complete, proposals are due March 13, 2026, and we expect award between March 31 and April 10 with an estimated 180-day performance period.
