  • National Safe Boating Week, May 17-23, 2014

    The Tulsa District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) is teaming up with the National Safe Boating Council and other boating safety advocates across the U.S. to promote safe and responsible boating during National Safe Boating Week, May 17-23, 2014.

  • Open House Workshop planned for Tenkiller Lake

    The Tulsa District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will host an open house workshop from 6:00-8:00 p.m., April 17, 2014 related to the review and revision of the project master plan (MP) for Tenkiller Lake, Cherokee and Sequoyah Counties, Okla. The open house will be held at the Gore Gymnasium, 214 East 4th Street, Gore, Okla., 74435.

  • Open House Workshop planned for Fort Gibson Lake

    The Tulsa District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will host an open house workshop from 6:00-8:00 p.m., April 15, 2014 related to the review and revision of the project master plan (MP) for Fort Gibson Lake, Mayes, Wagoner, and Cherokee Counties, Okla. The open house will be held at the City of Wagoner Civic Center, 301 South Grant Avenue, Wagoner, Okla., 74467.

  • MKARNS parks open for 2014 recreation season

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Tulsa District announced that Corps-operated campgrounds along the Oklahoma portion of the McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System that were closed for the 2013 recreation season will be open for the 2014 season.

  • Drought leads to low lake level at Texoma; boaters should be vigilant

    The Tulsa District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers advises visitors to Lake Texoma of the impact an extreme drought is having on the lake level. The current water level is several feet below normal and the Corps urges boaters to be vigilant when on the water. There is water for boating and other activities.

  • Lake Texoma experiencing negative impacts of long-term drought

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Tulsa District (USACE) and The Southwestern Power Administration (SWPA) acknowledge the negative impacts associated with reduced water levels at Lake Texoma. Hydropower and municipal and industrial water supply usage contribute to the lower level, but remain critical in meeting electricity and water needs.

  • Corps to reopen some campgrounds along Navigation System

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Tulsa District announced today that some Corps-operated campgrounds along the Oklahoma portion of the McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System are to reopen no later than Nov. 22, 2013.

  • Lake Texoma in drought management mode

    The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Tulsa District announced today that the pool elevation of Lake Texoma has dropped to 612 feet, entering the lake into Drought Level 2 of the District’s Drought Contingency Plan.

  • Army Corps of Engineers waives day use fees at recreation areas on Veteran's Day

    The Tulsa District U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) announced today that it will waive day use fees for veterans, active and reserve component service members, and their families at Tulsa District USACE-operated recreation areas on Veterans Day, November 11.
