    TULSA — The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Tulsa District will host an informational meeting at Wichita State University to discuss upcoming Project Consolidated Maintenance Contract opportunities at Marion KS and other locations in Kansas, Feb. 3, from 1:30 to 4 p.m. The Tulsa District’s Kansas Area Office and Small Business Directorate, in a joint effort with the Kansas Procurement Technical Assistance Center, will hold the meeting to educate contractors and small businesses about government contract opportunities in Kansas. These service contracts typically include; mowing of public use areas, dam embankments, project office complexes, and other unimproved areas on project lands. Additional opportunities include janitorial work, cleaning of park facilities such as toilets, picnic and camping sites, grounds keeping, refuse collection and disposal, pumping of septic tanks and vaults; herbicide application. Construction opportunities will also be discussed. The event will be held at: WSU Metroplex Room 132 29th & Oliver 5015 East 29th St. N.
